The Call Family
Ten years ago, Shelby and Jordan asked me to photograph their wedding. I was only a few years into my photography journey back then, and to have a couple who trusted me so completely at that stage of my career was such a treasured gift. They inspired me, showing me the kind of clients/people/friends I really wanted to find. Ones who would keep an endlessly positive and gracious attitudes, despite the rain that came on their engagement, bridal, and wedding days.
I've always held these two close to my heart, and watching their family grow over the years has been such a joy. These adorable boys almost feel like my nephews, in a totally not-weird way.
This was a mini session, and while I've chosen only a small handful of my favorite photos, we were able to capture so many sweet portraits with these boys. It makes my mama heart proud and glad to know they're growing up with such a fine example of what a love story should look and feel like.
Why Mini Sessions Are Perfect for Young Families
As a Utah family photographer, I love capturing those fleeting, joy-filled moments that make your family unique. Mini sessions are the perfect option for families with young children — short, relaxed, and filled with laughter. With a natural light approach and a rich, true-to-life color aesthetic, these sessions allow little ones to stay engaged and happy while still creating timeless portraits you’ll treasure for years.
Family photos are more than just pictures — they’re keepsakes of connection, growth, and love. Whether it’s a toddler’s grin, a quiet hug, or a candid burst of laughter, these images tell the story of your family in its most genuine season. A mini session gives you the gift of beautiful portraits without the stress of a long photo day — perfect for preserving your family’s most meaningful moments.
