A Mandan Summit Wedding at Sundance Resort, Park City


There’s something magical about a mountain wedding, and this celebration at Mandan Summit in Sundance Resort, Park City was one of the most breathtaking events I’ve photographed. As a Utah wedding photographer, I often say that the mountains have a way of bringing an extra layer of romance and serenity to a wedding day—and this one was no exception. The bride and groom shared their first look, followed by private vows in the forest before the ceremony, surrounded by tall aspens and the stillness of nature. It was such a sweet and intimate moment, and it's frankly convinced me that private vows are the only way to go. From there, guests gathered at the Mandan Summit, where sweeping views of the stunning Utah mountains created a truly breathtaking backdrop. The wind dancing through the ceremony added a sense of wild beauty and romance to the moment, especially during the couple's first kiss. And as you can tell by the photos, the floral ground installation by Fern's Florals immediately stole my heart. I can't imagine a more perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony.


After a scenic ride down the ski lift, the reception carried on the romantic theme with string lights and candles that gave the evening an intimate, heartfelt feel. Ombre wedding flowers in soft purples, citrus tones, and deep mauves lined the tables, creating an elegant look that perfectly balanced with the rustic mountain setting. Each detail felt thoughtfully chosen to reflect not only the beauty of Sundance Resort but also the personality of the couple. The bride's gorgeous basque-waist dress and the groom's navy tuxedo brought even more taste to the stylish celebration.


As the night unfolded, laughter, tears, and heartfelt toasts filled the room of Sundance Resort's Rehearsal Hall. The mix of nature, romance, and design made this wedding feel both deeply personal and timeless.
