All aboard!
This is the second opportunity I've had to photography a wedding welcome dinner aboard an intimate sunset cruise ship in the San Diego Harbor, and I have to say it has quickly become my favorite. Unique, fun, and totally beautiful, it's a wonderful way to bring the families and close friends together before the wedding day. This cruise was in November, and the weather was perfect. Comfortable until the sun set, then just chilly enough to encourage a little dancing and warm drinks.
The Menu
Citrusy mocktails and vibrant Mexican burrito bowls, followed by hot chocolate once the night turned chilly and mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
The Music
All the hits you know and love from 90's rom coms (of which I am personally a huge fan).
The Views
Sailboats, seaside shops and restaurants, palm trees, and a perfect sunset. And my personal favorite, watching a fellow walk nonchalantly out onto his private pier and shoo away a large posse of seals from his deck like one might dismiss a flock of pigeons.
The Guests
The bride and groom asked their guests to dress in their wedding colors of blue and cream, which made for such beautiful and cohesive photos that truly complemented the natural scenery.
